Scrapbooking Starbucks!

Scrapbooks are NOT just for your family and what you did with them! I wanted to show you a scrapbook that I have been in the process of making for a couple of years. Yes - you did read that right - years!
It all started when I began collecting Starbucks cards. I made a 12x12 page about it - but knew that I needed somewhere fun to keep them. I have collected every coffee related stamp SU has produced since I came to the States, and so I just knew that I was going to use them.

This is the final product - I have just stuck down the final cards in it this week. (They tend to get collected in my purse for a while before they find their home in this book!)

Here is some of the inside pages - they all pretty much look similar to this.
I just wanted you to take a look outside of what you have traditionally thought that 'scrapbooks' were.This is still a 'scrapbook' - but it holds a collection of Starbucks cards.
How fun is THAT????
So I want for you to think outside of your box with scrapbooking. What do you have a collection of? Think about taking a photo of every item and then putting them into of these cheapo little brag books,(I wait for them to go on sale at either Target or Walgreens and then I stock up!)
These little brag books make fantastic little books for baby showers too! Just slide a piece of cardstock into every slot and add a little stamped image onto it - and you have a stinking cute present - which is both personal and practical!!!

Yes - I think I am still alive!

I know that I have been MIA from this blog for quite a while! But you know - life and stuff!!
So what we are going to do is just pretend every time I do this (you and I both know that this may happen again even though I will promise that it wont!!!) that it didn't really and just proceed as though I had been psting every day. Deal? Deal!!!!!

I know - aren't they super cute? AND super easy!!! ANY of you could create these in your own home! SO come on out the net time I have a shoppe and learn how to use your supplies to make super quick and easy-peasy, Japan-easy cards like these!!

Gee - one day I'll get consistant!

I've done it again! Waitied forever to post to this blog! One day I'll get consistant and you will be soooo shocked!

Wow - how long has it BEEN????

I can't believe that it has been so long since I have posted! I keep creating things to post, and then life just gets in the way...

Stamp-a-Stack

Wow - I can't believe that I've let a month go by without posting. Life gets so insanely hectic sometimes (I just KNOW that you understand that!!)

But on to today's post...

This Friday is my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. This is one of the cards that we will be creating. It uses that fabulous Stamp set "Serene Snowflakes"from the (not so ) mini catalog. I am so in love with this stamp set - it's simply amazing and believe me when I tell you that you need it! It is item #115438 (to help you with ordering!!!!)

Fabulous Friday cards

Well, it's that time of the month again. Fabulous Friday is upon us again this coming Friday (July 17th).

This is one of the cards that we will be making - cute, huh? It's a spinner card, andthat cake at the bottom of the card actually travels along that 'track' and pins. Very cool. COme and learn how!

Fabulous Friday Cards is a time for you to come and have a fun evening making 5 pre-designed and pre-cut cards. All of the hard work is done for you and all you have to do is spend some time actually stamping and putting them together!

Friendly Wheels class

Fabulous Friday cards

Another sneak peak at one of the cards that we will be making on the next Fabulous Friday cards. (I saw this on one of another SU! demos blogs - maybe Patty Bennett? Thanks for the great idea!)

And why would you want to create cards by yourself instead of buying them? I can think of a few really great reasons...

• People LOVE getting hand made gifts (how many store bought cards do you really keep and treasure?)


• It actually works out a lot cheaper - think about all those 'extra' things that you pick up at Target when you go in to just buy a card!


• It saves you time! REALLY! Spend 2 - 3 hours with me once a month, and have 5 cards ready and waiting... Now think of how long it takes you to get in the car, get the kids in the car!, drive down to Target or Walmart, look through a gazillion cards before you choose the perfect one, run to get those few little things you 'need', see more things you didn't know you needed until then, check out, and then drive home again. You probably just spent close to an hour just picking out ONE card!

So, plan to come and save yourself some of the hassles of getting cards when it's urgent, and have them ready to go!

How cool is this rose???

I used watercolor paper, embossed the image and used a new technique that I learnt from another SU! Demonstrator, Patty Bennett.

I LOVE these things!!!

I'm going to teach this VERY cool technique on Thursday and Friday nights at my Fabulous Friday classes... there is still time and room to book in if you haven't yet!
