Julie's colour concoction

I decided to play along with Julie's colour challenge this week. It was such a lovely combo that I found myself wanting to make more and more using the paper scraps I had leftover!

The colours were:

baja breeze (one of the new in colors)

always artichoke(the card base)

mellow moss.

Mellow moss is becoming one of my absolute favourite colours these day. It seems like everything I make this week has at least some on it! Time to break out of the green pattern!!!

Orange Roasters!

I have to tell you that this is a title that made my day!!! It's a daily challenge on Splitcoast Stampers (from now on that will be known as SCS!!!!).
This is my entry and I had such fun doing this! When you get to know me better you will learn that coffee is my absolute addiction (if you want to make my day, bring me a Starbucks!!) and that orange is my fave colour!!So - to have both of them present in a challenge... Well, it's pretty close to stamping heaven!!!!
I also got to use up some of the stamps that I will be 'retiring' (even though they have been gone from SU!'s catalogue for quite a while!!)
Go and enjoy a cup of coffee for me!!!

Monochromatic Challenge!

They have all of these fabulous challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers and I've finally got to make some of them!

You can see my post for it here and check out some of the great entries as well!

I'm really loveing the sock monkey stamp set right now - of course not the actualmonkey(he still scares me!), but these cupcakes are adorable!

I found this reallychallenging - I'm not partial to just a plain cardstock and so to leave it without a background was difficult. But I think that I like the simple look of it!

Hope you enjoy this Maartie!! (It's for my brother in law's birthday!)

Supplies:

Stamps - Sock Monkey and Define your life

Paper- chocolate chip, close to cocoa and creamy caramel (all from the earth elements color family)

Ink - basic brown.

It's a new blog!

Yep - I finally broke down and got myself a blog! And with my very talented husband, and a kit from Shabby Princess. I've even got a cool title! Thanks Hon!!

I'm hoping that this will help me get more inspired, and that I'll finally start working on all of those cool challenges that i find all over the place! We'll see - I'm still flaky, and just 'cos I'm blogging that wont change!

Anyway, thanks for wandering in - here's a card I made for a SSUS weekly card challenge using Sock Monkey (and her is where I tell you that that little guy kinda scares me!!!!!!!)

It's hard to see,but it is a diorama card - 3 layers in a box. Very cute and really easy to make.
2 pieces of cardstock at 3 1/4 x 8 inches and one 3 1/4 x 6 inches. You score both ends of the longer bits at 2 inches and the shorter one at 1 inch. Using SU's tag punches you punch out the windows and hen adhere it all together. Viola - a cute little card that folds down to fit inside out long envelopes!

Stamps: Sock Monkey.
Cardstock: Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Ink: Black Stazon
Other: White taffeta ribbon.
